Meet Anna Chew, Founder & CEO of Meaningfull Life Sdn Bhd, recognised as a Global Ageing Trailblazer and one of the region’s most sought-after subject matter experts on ageing and care innovation. With more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning corporate, government, and start-up environments across Southeast Asia, Anna has redefined what ageing can look like in Malaysia and beyond. Her mission is clear: to build ecosystems of care that combine profitability with compassion, innovation with practicality, creating communities where seniors age with dignity, joy, and purpose. ReU Living
Malaysia’s first luxury Assisted Living & Recovery Centre, transforming MiCasa Hotel into a regional model of care. The project earned them Operator of the Year 2023 and The Star Excellence in Assisted Living Award 2024.
Care Concierge
As Investor & Acting CMO, she led growth strategy and innovation, securing multiple awards and capital, and launching Malaysia’s first luxury commercial senior living residences in Penang, her 2nd home.

A pioneering senior daycare concept that laid the early foundation for standalone day centres in Malaysia.
Her vision and leadership have earned her the Khazanah Innovation & Impact Grant (2021), positioning Meaningfull at the forefront of Malaysia’s ageing services, and establishing her reputation as a leading force in Asia’s senior-living movement. A keynote speaker for the United Nations Care Program and global ageing & leadership conferences, Anna is widely recognised for her expertise in design thinking for community care spaces, post-recovery care protocols, and her ability to democratise senior living for diverse communities.
Through every venture, Anna has championed a simple yet profound belief: that ageing should be fun, inclusive, and deeply meaningful.
A Meaningfull Journey
For years, many of us have shared the same conversation: a dream of retiring with friends on a piece of land, pooling resources, and hiring help. Yet, reality makes that vision impractical — rising land prices, unreliable support, and, most of all, isolation. Traditional “old folks’ homes” also never sat well with us, often lacking dignity, vibrancy, and joy.
My own experience made this real. Watching my aunt decline in a squalid nursing home and supporting my late father through repeated hospital admissions revealed the strain on families and caregivers. As an only child, I often stepped into that role myself. These moments convinced me there had to be a better way to age — one that was compassionate, supportive, and community-driven.
That belief set me on a journey of reimagining care. From reshaping services at Care Concierge, to developing Malaysia’s first luxury Assisted Living & Recovery Centre at ReU Living, and later pioneering beachfront senior residences in Penang, each milestone shaped my conviction that care could — and should — be joyful, inclusive, and accessible.
In 2021, I founded Meaningfull Life Sdn Bhd to bring this vision to life. Our mission is clear: to design ecosystems where seniors and families thrive in place — from active-ageing programs and intergenerational communities, to ageing-in-place solutions and innovative Care Hubs in the heart of townships and cities.
Today, Meaningfull delivers much more than care services. Through partnerships in physiotherapy, mental health, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and active-ageing initiatives, we build networks that empower people to age meaningfully in the communities they love.
Our journey began with personal experiences and a clear vision and has grown into award-winning models recognised across the region. But recognition was never the goal. At Meaningfull, our purpose has always been to bring meaning through care, uplifting both those receiving care and the teams who provide it.
